The modal status of propositions (necessary, probable and contingent propositions). Discussion: modal talks are frequent not only among epistemologists, but also within philosophers of science (is a scientific law really necessary? Is a scientific fact a mere contingency? Are there different kinds of possibility/necessity?). Introduction to the notions of essential/accidental properties (de re Modality). The traditional (JTB) approach to knowledge and some traditional counterexamples to it.
