2 Janeiro 2019, 12:20 Miguel Centeno Brito

Happy new year.

The presentations of the Advanced Topics will take place on Monday, Jan 7th, from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the room 3.2.16. The presentations are 10 mins long, to be held preferably in English (but you may present in Portuguese), with slides in English. Remember that you are expected to attend ALL presentations.
The 10pp report is due the following day, so you may introduce relevant comments that may arise from the discussion. Avoid unnecessary cover pages but please include a meaningful abstract.
Looking forward for the presentations
Miguel

I have included a pdf to the T section which is a good reference to help out with your revision. I have not followed it for the lectures but it is generally well written and it covers most of the relevant topics. Please do not share.

This Friday

31 Outubro 2018, 14:03 Miguel Centeno Brito

This Thursday (November 1st) is a national holiday and therefore one should expect that some/many of you are taking the Friday off for an extended weekend back home.

Since the next lecture is arguably one of the most important of the course I have decided to cancel the class on Friday November 2nd and replace it with a lecture on Wednesday, November 7th, at the time of the Laboratory class (1pm)(room to be announced later).

The calendar of the laboratory classes will therefore be henceforth delayed for one week.

Personally, I will be in on Friday so you can come over to discuss questions regarding topics on either the practical or laboratory classes.
