The article by Conway-Morris comes complemented with another by Erwin; even though Erwin's article is not class material, you might find it useful to read it as it proposes a similar view to Gould's.

In the case of the article by Koonin and Wolf, the class material is until the start of page 7; of course, you can read it in its entirety.

In the next class, we shall continue for the preparation of the examination of the 29th. The examination will have the same format as the previous one but - as some of you proposed - with just 1 hour at your disposal. In the first hour on the day of the examination, you can ask me questions. While the second will be dedicated to the actual examination.
