In this laboratory practice lesson (PL11), the following subjects were addressed: i) LSS - definition; ii) What is your objective?; iii) LSS configurations; iv) Equipment - Water quality/monitoring; v) LSS Schematics. Moreover, the students also performed: i) seawater quality analysis (nitrite levels); ii) Dissolved oxygen and pH measurements; iii) LSS assemblage; iv) equipment assembly and disassembly (e.g. uv sterilizer, external filter, fluidized bed filter, profilux monitoring device).
