Comments on the true/false questions in the test.
- A PV system designed to operate in the summer (when the sun is higher in the sky) should have a lower inclination than usual.
- The diode protecting the battery from overnight discharge is called blocking diode, not bypass diode.
- The efficiency of a PV module in a cold environment is higher, even if it may generate less electricity since there is less irradiation.
- The energy payback of a PV module is 1-2 years, much less than its operational lifetime.
- A spectrum rich in infrared can be better captured by lower bandgap solar cells.
- Batteries should always be well ventilated because of degassing; they should never be in a closed case.
