CCD images and data reduction

CCD images in the FITS format and fits viewers (ds9, Aladin, TopCat). Images and headers stored in fits files. Overview of different data reduction steps, including bias and overscan subtraction, flat field correction, dark current, bad pixel maps, cosmic rays, and image stacking. Performing basic reduction on images of galaxy NGC 1398 taken with FORS2 at the Very Large Telescope. The tutorial was performed in Python, using Google Colab interface.
