· Quantify the electric current generated by the ion transport that was measured in the Ussing chamberclass PL4
· Through the quantifications the effect of the drugs used for the rescue of CFTR mutation F508del in the previous class was compared
· How the Ussing chamber measurements can predict the best treatment for a person with Cystic Fibrosis
· The Transepithelial voltage measured in the Ussing chamber and the small current pulses (5μA/s) injected were used to calculate the Transepithelial Resistance using Ohm‘s law: R=V/I
· To calculate the electric current generated by the ion transport, we apply Ohm’s law: Isc = Vte / Rte
· The current (Isc) that passes between two sides is directly proportional to the voltage (Vte) and inverse to the resistance (Rte) between these sides
