Model Implementation, Numerical Troubleshooting, and Theoretical Review
29 Abril 2026, 13:30 • Rafael Neto Henriques
This session continued to support students with the practical implementation of their selected physiological models, focusing on programming challenges and numerical troubleshooting. In addition to resolving specific algorithmic and coding issues within their MATLAB or Python scripts, instructors dedicated time to addressing students' conceptual questions.
First Theoretical Evaluation (Part 2)
29 Abril 2026, 11:00 • Rafael Neto Henriques
Together with the previous session, this class was dedicated to the first formal theoretical examination of the course for students opting into the continuous evaluation track. The assessment evaluated the students' comprehension of the foundational concepts covered in the first half of the semester. Topics tested included physiological complexity, feedback and control principles, data-driven phenomenological models, and the formulation of static, linear, and distributed structural models.

This session continued to support students with the practical implementation of their selected physiological models, focusing on programming challenges and numerical troubleshooting. In addition to resolving specific algorithmic and coding issues within their MATLAB or Python scripts, instructors dedicated time to addressing students' conceptual questions. This included clarifying the underlying theory of both data-driven and structural models, ensuring that students fully understood the mathematical and physiological principles governing the differential equations they were simulating for their projects.
